Entry #32 - Minneapolis Kitchen
Seamless joining of the kitchen and unheated sun porch when we removed the wall and installed a flush beam. The enclosed space became the casual eating area with built-in bench seats. Look for the boot drawer next to the entry door. Plenty of room for family games and computer work. Light floods the space from new Marvin double hung windows. Architectural details throughout are reminiscent of the 1930’s house. New wood floors match the existing. Cherry cabinets w/custom built-ins for the kitchen. Great circulation from eating area into adjacent child’s play area through large cased opening. A new pocket door closes off the formal dining room for intimate adult dinners. |

The Builders Outreach Foundation, The Parade of Homes Remodelers ShowcaseSM , Builders Association of the Twin Cities along with WCCO Radio and remodeler partners New Spaces and Flynn Construction, with a whole lot of help from over 100 individuals and companies have transformed this 60’s era walkout rambler from a hodgepodge of spaces that sort-of worked for this injured Marine and his family, into a home that will serve his needs now and long into the future. Come and see the beautiful new kitchen, three new bathrooms, two new fireplaces and much more. Every one of the hundreds of individuals and companies involved has been happy to participate in Operation Dream Makeover as a way of saying thank you to Kyle, Tim and Matt for their sacrifice for our country. There’s much more to see, and your $5.00 donation at the door will help the Builders Outreach Foundation continue doing projects like Operation Dream Makeover. |
