Step 2: Design Concepts
Under a design contract the designer will review the client's wishes and begin space planning. The designer presented Chris and Sherry with these three proposed concepts for their basement.
Designer's Note: During this phase, it is important to look at each of the main elements of each concept separately as they can be pieced together and combined to create the plan that is right for you. Over time the plan will evolve as new ideas are introduced and options are added or deleted.

Wet Bar
- Raised bar area adds seating on two sides
- Glass cabinets and floating shelves
- Larger, angled tiles on the backsplash

Entertainment Center
The family wanted to try a corner fireplace. The designer created this 3D rendering and they discovered how much space it would really occupy and decided against it.

Accent Wall
- Separate room created for exercise equipment
- Added storage and some architectural pizzazz to the dividing wall
- The designer priced several different products including tile and stone for the pillars and the hearth seating.
