Step 4: Construction
Before any construction began, the designer met with the Lead Carpenter to discuss the project. During the pre-construction meeting, Chris and Sherry were introduced to the Lead Carpenter on the project. Constant communication between the carpenter and the designer is essential in a successful remodeling project.

From that point on, the carpenter became the main contact about the project. However, the designer continued to visit the job site once or twice a week throughout the duration of the project. And she was also available by phone and e-mail if Chris or Sherry had any additional questions about the design.
