- “I hate having to climb all these stairs every time I need to do laundry.”
- “Our home hasn’t grown with our family.”
- “My house feels cluttered, I wish everything had its own space.”
Do these concerns sound familiar? Many older homes don’t have the functionality a modern family needs. Adding on a mudroom or laundry room on a main level is a remodeling project many homeowners desire. Whatever your family needs, the designers at New Spaces will help you plan and create a functional space within your home.

Why New Spaces
Everyone wants a remodel, but no one wants to go through the remodeling process. It’s often frustrating, disruptive and expensive. Our goal at New Spaces is to help you create beautiful, livable spaces in a painless process. Our design guarantee starts at the very beginning of a project: If we cannot provide a remodeling plan within the estimated budget range agreed to at the Initial Consultation Meeting, we will refund 100% of the Design Agreement Fee. It’s really very simple: if we can’t do the designed project and keep it within the established budget, we will let you know BEFORE we ever begin. We also know that your home still needs to be livable during a remodel, which is why we only work with partners who respect your home and keep the remodel clean and on time.
Laundry Room Remodel in Eden Prairie
Dave and Nancy lived in their spacious 1998-built home since it was new, but never were in love with the design. With five children and two pet dogs, their laundry room sees a lot of use. The current home was lacking in a mudroom due to the design. Rather than restructure the entire floor plan, New Spaces removed an unused closet to expand the laundry room and add a place to hang coats and store shoes. The laundry room was an opportunity to add a pop of color into the house and brighten up a room that’s often overlooked. Who said doing chores has to be boring?
We talk in-depth with you about what you love about your current home and what you wish was different. We’ll then create a plan for you to review and ask questions about before any work begins.
Once we’ve agreed on a plan, we’ll draw up three unique concept plans that translate your needs, wants and wishes into reality. These three plans give you the flexibility to choose the best option for you, while exploring other options. Once you decide which concept plan you want, we’ll begin building.
Our build team, headed by our expert staff lead carpenters, is the best in the business and our process assures you’ll always know exactly what’s happening and when.
