After more than 100 years, this 1909 two-story in Minneapolis was ready for a bathroom renovation. New Spaces converted an adjacent nursery into a closet, then combined the old closet with the existing bathroom to create a place where visual elegance and material luxury meet.

The color palette is centered around the distinguished marble surfaces. Creamy whites bring warmth to the room, and subtle color combinations add a level of detail and sophistication to the design. The traditional cabinetry has been enameled white and glazed with gold. Glittering glass drawer pulls add rich character.

Vintage inspired faucets are jewelry for the bath. Gleaming chrome fixtures compliment the creamy tone of the Carrara marble countertops. The countertops have an added level of detail in the sculpted edge, echoing the design of the cabinets.

Glass crystals hang like ripe fruit from brassy gold chandeliers. Floral and spiral details of the light fixtures reference art and design movements like Art Nouveau. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling and sconces are mounted directly into the mirrors. The new crown moulding unites the bathroom with the rest of the home.

Step into luxury, marble steam shower

This spacious bathroom has an extra-large steam shower, a space for self-indulgence and comfort with a rain shower and hand-held shower head. The elegant marble subway tile stall has a picture rail detail and built in niches for shampoos.

An alcove dedicating to primping and pampering has a makeup vanity and a counter-to-ceiling mirror that fills the wall.
