Hopkins 1950’s Mid-Century Inspired Rambler Basement Remodel
About This Project
The remodel of the lower level of this 1950’s Rambler was especially fun because while the layout was mostly determined, it was ready for new finishes – top to bottom. As you enter this level, you are greeted by an architectural slat wall that is open and welcomes you into a cozy family room with a fireplace and vast windows offering spectacular backyard views. Other features of this lower level include a stunning bathroom, complete with a sauna, a crafting space, a guest bedroom, and a highly functional mud room – perfect for kicking off your boots after a morning in the garden. The original kitchen cabinets, countertop, sink and faucet were all salvaged and reused in this mud room space, adding to its charm. Learn more about the full Kitchen Remodel here.
