Mid-Century Modern Mudroom
Built in ‘56, the Simmons family collaborated with New Spaces to reconfigure their home through a complete Main Floor transformation and a complete Space Plan re-configuration.
In a 1950’s Rambler we did not have mudrooms. We did not think about Mudrooms back then but they have become an important part of the floor plans we see today, especially for families with children. Our talented design team was able to incorporate a very compact mudroom area right as you enter the home from the garage. We live in Minnesota, a mixed weather climate – we bring in a lot of grime, salt, sand during the winter months and you probably see the flooring we chose here, by design, is a luxury vinyl tile that we use quite a bit.
