The Anderson family planned this remodel in their minds 20 years ago. When they decided to remodel, they chose New Spaces because of our reputation of functional thinking, high- performance and decades of experience working on mid-century Minneapolis builds like theirs.

In this kitchen’s past life, there was a lack of natural light flow, cooking space and storage to accompany the Anderson’s growing family. Lacking a proper dining space, this home didn’t stand the test of time, especially as it morphed to be a multigenerational living arrangement. This newly added white quartz countertop, enriched with gray veins, is where their grandchildren today sit and watch as their mom cooks dinner, coloring new creations that will soon be hung on this state-of-the-art double-door fridge that now fits lunchboxes and more. Custom-colored, the gray-painted lower cabinetry was just the twist of color that the Anderson’s wanted, not too loud and not too bland. Matte black finishes surround the space, and a touch-powered faucet shouts practicality.
